Third Annual RiverSculpture RIVERSCULPTURE, EASY TO FIND, EASY TO GET TO, EASY TO PARK RiverSculpture takes place on the grounds of Reynolds Village from dawn to dusk. Admission is free and open to the public. The location is easily accessible for both local residents and out of town visitors. Families, pets and cameras are welcome. There is a picnic area right on the grounds so that you can come to the exhibit and enjoy a meal and the sculpture. You can bring a picnic lunch or order a take out meal from Sisters McMullen on the grounds or one of the many nearby restaurants on Weaverville Highway including Curras Dom, Stoney Knob Cafe, Vino Vino and Frank’s Roman Pizza. The picnic area is at the beginning of the exhibit across from the new YMCA now under construction.
Travel Directions: Asheville Transit: The #54 Merrimon Avenue/North Asheville/Weaverville bus stops in front of the Food Lion at Newbridge Plaza. RiverSculpture begins about 100 feet north of the bus stop. For schedules, click here. By Car: RiverSculpture is just north of the Asheville City Line. From downtown, take Merrimon Avenue (Rt. 25) north to just past Elkmont Drive/Elkwood Avenue and turn right into Newbridge Plaza/Reynolds Mountain. From Weaverville, take Weaverville Highway (Rt. 25). Just after the 19/23 ramp, turn left into the first Reynolds Mountain entrance and go up onto the grounds. The entrances to RiverSculpture are clearly marked with large banners on Rt. 25. From 19/23/I-26, North or South, take Exit 23. At the traffic light at the bottom of the ramp, go directly across Weaverville Highway/Rt. 25, up the hill and into the site. The entrance to RiverSculpture is clearly marked with a large banner.
